The three-piece Tube End Closure has a body, a ferrule that has been hardened, and a nut. This nut, in contrast to conventional compression joints, is screwed onto the body. This ferrule holds the pipe in place and visibly secures the surface to provide a reliable seal. The ferrule deforms somewhat in the centre and functions as a spring when it is fully tightened. The ferrule’s spring action maintains tension between the body and nut to stop it from loosing from strain or vibration.
